Sammie Smith is a former NFL first round draft pick and Florida State University football  Hall of Fame inductee.

He has overcome challenges in his personal and professional life by surrounding his life to Jesus.

He live in Mount Dora, Florida with his wife Shalonda, serving others through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  They have three children, daughter Jenee' (married to Wallace Taylor), son Cre'shawn, and daughter Sania, and three grandchildren, Christian, Caml and Hazel Grace.
